“My future goals are to help make more women homeowners. Create a foundation in my mother’s name and help with building affordable housing for homeownership.”

About Kinsey:
I started my real estate career back in 1999 as a leasing agent for a property management company and that lead into becoming a loan officer. My first job was as a trainee at CJ Mortgage in Brea California. I was very scared to cold call and learn the business, but I discovered I had a gift of communication and closed three deals in my first three months. I then went on to obtain my real estate license and started my career in real estate. I was strictly a loan originator opening my first business in Covina California. I became a broker in 2007 and started my own real estate brokerage in 2012 Got Realty? In 2012 I obtained my NMLS so I can continue to do loans. I also ran my own mortgage brokerage American Empire Lending so I could provide both the financing and the home. I currently sell real estate and have partnered with a mortgage company to still do loans.
During my real estate journey, I have been a loan processor, loan underwriter, forensic underwriter, and foreclosure specialist. I have worked for several banks and mortgage companies. I have been a broker associate of Zip Realty and Keller Williams.
I discovered leadership about 8 years ago when I joined the Women’s Council of Realtors and ran for President-elect for the local network in Riverside. Through that leadership process, I discovered the importance of getting involved in the local real estate association committees and leadership. I have served on the Board of Directors for two years at my local association and currently serve on Budget and Finance, Housing, and MLS committees. I am currently a CAR – California Association of Realtors Director since 2023 serving on Standard Forms, Housing Affordability Fund, and Housing Homeownership.
I am also a member of Careb - California Association of Real Estate Brokers joining the board in 2022. I currently serve as their second vice president helping with growing our membership and working on member benefits. In this role I have helped shape the organization's future by changing the bylaws to include a fair election and introduction of a new position of President-Elect I also chaired the 2024 state conference - The Working Real Estate Conference which was a dream of mind to bring to life. After attending so many conferences in previous years I felt a 3-day conference that actually grows your business and gets you leads while at the conference would be well received. I am truly proud of the work I do for my community by volunteering at the Fair Council of Riverside. I help educate people about the importance of homeownership and how to become homeowners.
I currently have my PMN - Performance Management Network designation and I am working on my ABR - Accredited Buyers Representation and CIPS - Certified International Property Specialist.
I do work to keep my health balanced by taking Zumba class and doing as much dancing as possible. When I am unwinding, I look to watch and participate in the arts. Film, dancing, and singing are some of my loves and help me truly relax. I love to listen to live music and enjoy a play every now and then.
The challenges I have faced in my career have been like others although I don’t really view them as challenges. I keep an optimistic view on life being very proactive, outspoken, and an advocate for human rights. I am currently working on a lead generation program for Careb members. I look to continue mentoring members in the Women’s Council and being an asset as a board member to Cabrep.
I am currently a 2026 National Liaison Candidate for Women’s Counsel, 2025 CAR Director, 2025 2nd Vice President for Careb, and Board of Directors for Cabrep. The advice I would give to other black women, women of color and any woman in this business would be to stay up to date on everything real estate. Invest in your personal growth and business growth Continue to practice with integrity and clarity. Stay strong through the rollercoaster of our business. Real estate is not an easy business but can be very rewarding. My future goals are to help make more women homeowners. Create a foundation in my mother’s name and help with building affordable housing for homeownership. I will continue my work with democracy in housing.
