After many years in the entertainment industry working for celebrities like “Mr. Box Office,” Eddie Murphy, Tony Orlando, Debby Boone, Ambassador of Princess Cruises, Gavin McCloud and Mega-Manager, Susan Munao, who was instrumental in forming the career of Donna Summers, Renée and her husband, Daryl, moved into the Santa Clarita Valley after serving as Resident Managers at an award- winning affordable housing community in Hollywood, the Montecito, for seven years. During this assignment they developed their passion of real estate and learned contracts, real estate law, facilities and customer service. When the time came to shift careers to one that allowed her the opportunity to continue to do the things she loves (like daily serving at West Creek where her children attended school and being able to pick up her children from school), real estate was a perfect fit!
In the past eight years, she has had the privilege of giving keys to clients who purchased homes from $195,000.00 to $2.5 million with production totaling over 175 homes. Her clients range from friends she has known for 30 years to on-line leads she has never met who quickly became friends and purchased homes all over Southern California.
Renée believes giving back to the communities she serves is life-giving. Currently she serves as the Affordable Housing Chair for the City of Santa Clarita’s Homeless Task Force which blossomed out of her personal life experience of losing their home in the 2008 Market Crash from her service at His Way Church when she was the Homeless Coordinator for a decade, as they hosted Family Promise. Thee past two years she has served as a Board Member for Family Promise which has a new community which is anticipated to open in Spring 2025. Additionally, she serves the NAACP of Santa Clarita as the Co-Housing Chair and Secretary of Los Angeles County’s SPA 2 Homeless Coalition. She is also an active alumnus of Pepperdine University with a degree in Film/Television and minor in International Business. In 2023 she earned a Professional Certificate in Local Government & Community Partnering for Success from Pepperdine School of Public Policy and the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership.
At church she also served as a Youth Leader and Church Administrator. Her love for children inspired her to serve as Afternoon Commander of Awana’s for eight years. Believing in the importance of being involved with her children’s schools, she served on the Parents Teacher Association for a decade, receiving the Honorary Service Reward from California for serving the Morning Valet, producing the school’s Talent Shows and Women In History for a decade. One of the most rewarding blessings was to greet the families daily while serving in the morning valet.
At her local Realtor’s Association, Southland Regional, she received an appointment to RAF and serves on Government Affairs and is passion about advocating for homeowners and property rights. For California Association of REALTORS® in 2024, she was appointed to the Communications Advisory Committee where she currently serves as Chair. She also serves on Homeownership Housing and Taxation and Government Finance. In California she also serves on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Black REALTORS®. Renée serves on the National Association of REALTORS® Federal Housing Policy Committee and recently received and appointment as Chair of the Housing Choice Voucher Task Force. For the past nine years, Women’s Council of REALTORS has been her passion and Renée currently has the privilege of mentoring First Time Attendees, Chair of the Membership Benefits Task Force which produced a new Members Brochure. A graduate of Women’s Council of REALTORS® National Leadership Academy, in 2022, it was a great honor to serve on the faculty at Leadership 360 in 2023, recipient of the Bobbie Nelson Pathway to Leadership Grant and Humanitarian Award in 2022 and 2021. Renée was selected to participate in Southland California’s Association of Government Leadership Academy and is a proud graduate having worked on a policy to transition renters to homeowners. Her passion is homeownership for all.
